Does anyone feel better when they get little sleep or no sleep?

I have no idea if this is a “thing” but I fasted for seven days recently (three of them dry) and during that time I deprived myself of sleep for five or so days I believe. I felt amazing but I was starting to hallucinate and become psychotic. All of my health issues I struggle with on the day to day completely went away during that time. If I weren’t so prone to delerium in that state I honestly wouldn’t want to sleep given how much energy and vitality I felt.

Sleep deprivation in depression>Sleep deprivation (SD) is a powerful antidepressant treatment that shows antidepressant responses within hours in 40-60% of depressed patients. In more than 80% of responders to SD, a relapse into depression occurred after the recovery night. In addition, it serves as an excellent tool to examine the neurobiological disturbance of depression and may profoundly contribute to the development of new specific and more rapidly acting antidepressants. The reason why SD works and relapses occur is still unclear.

It’s definitely a thing. It is well known that after 24h the brain has an anti-depressive effect,Spiritual texts often recommend sleeping less to get more spiritual and eating less. After 1 day you start to minor hallucinate and it increases the longer you go, until you end up in very weird place, with the curtains talking to each other and very weird drama.

Probably creating psychosis, not a good thing?
