Well folks - Christmas Eve proved why not everyone can be trusted to make the best decision regarding group health.
Had Christmas Eve at my grandparents, aunt and uncle were there. Sister texted me before I got there saying “Uncle is coughing like crazy and Aunt has her mask on.”
“Great.”
Fast forward to yesterday morning and I’m coughing, have an intense headache over my left eye. The kind that just pulsates and you can’t think of anything except the pain, which makes it worse. Decided to dry fast.
Started around 1 AM or so and here I am, 6 PM the next day, so 17 hours, give or take. Was likely already in a dehydrated state before I started. As of this morning I’ve Stopped coughing, nose is completely clear though there feels like pressure in my face, headache is more or less gone and really just dealing with the altered-perception/body heat/slight achiness/hard to sit up on my own without needing to lay down after that comes with being sick in general.
My plan is to make it very difficult for both me and this illness to do anything other than be miserable. I’m going to go as long as I can and I don’t intend to lose. It’s like I tell my kids, I can act stupid longer than you can stay solvent.
I had something similar happening lately, lucky me it only lasted 2 days. I fought it with homemade Onion syrup for the cough, fermented garlic in honey and a bunch of vitamins and minerals. 4 days later I did a dry fast to limit any long term symptoms. 24h in my dry fast my nose and sinuses cleared. I fasted for only 3 days and I feel great now. I wish you a quick recovery!
I have done it. I usually start a dry fast when I start feeling something. It goes away before it becomes worse.
I have also dry fasted when I was already sick, by day 2 it was pretty much gone, extra day to just boost up my immune system.
Dry fasting is amazing
Cool.
I wanna tell you to might as well keep going since every additional hour your body will go through deep house cleaning.
Only fear I have is that it will work in the infection/illness’s favor. You get me?
