Fasting day 1 honest experience

I know I probably should have eased into fasting with Keto first to get into a fat burning state but I had a lovely day with my great aunt drinking wine and eating pasta and I already had my heart set on beginning fasting today. (Well since 7pm last night). Had incredible heartburn around the afternoon so took a few tums, had a glass of lemon water with a shot of apple cider vinegar (sort of helped the heartburn?) and then I was pretty hungry so I did end up eating half a cucumber with some grape tomatoes (I know, not great for acid) and some white vinegar and feta (tracked under 150 cals) Oops. Well I was feeling kind of crappy (prob because I’m a dum dum for eating pasta and wine yesterday and my body is now riding a blood sugar crash so I had some Saurkraut and sipped a mug of boullion broth. Feel very good now, I guess I didn’t technically fast but this was my honest attempt at day 1. Going to see how I feel tomorrow if I can actually get to Saturday night.

Cheers

No, you didn’t fast. But you were still aware and conscientious. That’s a huge win! Most people eat and drink mindlessly.

Take a few days and ease yourself into it until you’re a fasting master. It might sound impossible but you WILL get used to fasting, your body will stop expecting regular meals and the hunger will reduce (it greatly reduced for me when I switched to low-carb for my feasts).

You got this! On to day 2!
