I find that body-centric stuff like fasting, as well as breathing exercises, physical activitiy, and body scanning helps my mental health. There is a challenge to pushing through long periods of not eating; I have an issue with hypervigilance and the fight / flight response of the body fearing it’s starving is similar to the hypervigilance I feel as a result of trauma.

However, I see this as a good way to work through, in a safe way, those feelings.

Also I feel like superman and an increased sense of agency after the first 48 hours.
