Fasting schedule that allows food in morning?

Hey everyone! I’ve currently lost 55 pounds by doing calories in calories out. My goal weight is about 20 pounds away. Wanted to try fasting. I work a schedule where I work from 2-7pm as a teacher. When I’m teaching I really don’t even think about food, which is handy! Does anyone here do a fasting schedule where they stop eating at 4pm or something and then start eating the next morning at 7? I also struggle with late night snacking so I wondered if this would help. I’m afraid I won’t be able to sleep if I try this. Any advice?

Answer

My experience is that the body adjusts pretty quickly to a new eating regime but it’s easiest to make incremental adjustments in order to get your eating window to where you want it.

If you want to get out of late night snacking you could start by limiting your cut off point to 10pm for a week, then 9pm for a week and so on until you get to a suitable time.

You could simultaneously push breakfast later in a similar fashion.

A good tip is to brush your teeth if the hunger hormones kick in and you start thinking about hitting the snacks.

Good luck. Fasting is great for weight loss and it comes with a raft of other benefits, I’m sure you won’t be sorry if you get into it.
