As the title suggest, I was on an extended fast that I cut short today. I wanted to do 6 days but on day 3, today, my family made a spiral ham which is one of my favourite all time foods. I basically came home from the gym then stuffed my face with 2 ham sandwiches because I wasn’t mentally prepared to see and smell it in my house.
When I fast I’m always hungry, period. I manage it by putting it in the back of my mind but when serious temptation hits I have no mental fortitude.
What can I do to make myself mentally stronger to resist this level of temptation?
NB: They didn’t do this deliberately to break my fast.

This shouldn’t be the case usually. In my experience, if you start a fast after a full meal, the fullness keeps you satisfied for much longer.
The temptation thing is definitely hard to deal with. I’ve only managed to do ADF or random 48’s at home with family.
