Has anyone experienced memory improvement with fasting?

Hi, everyone! Lately I’ve (28F) had some considerable memory issues that I think were caused by the consumption of Zolpidem to sleep.

I used to have a great memory, and it was easy to remember names, dates and facts in my life, but now I can barely remember a story someone told me a few days before.

So I was wondering if fasting and autophagy would help me with the memory damage Zolpidem has caused. Has anyone had a positive experience in this aspect? If so, how long did you fast to notice some memory improvement? Was it during a prolonged fast or over the course of months with IF?

Thank you so much! (And sorry for the English mistakes — it’s not my mother language).

Answer

Chronically ill but fasting has been improving a lot of things including memory for me. If you’re noticing improvements, they’re probably improving. You don’t really need science to tell you if it’s fixing damage or not if you feel the change yourself

I, too, have positive experiences with symptoms/damage and recovering/healing while fasting. It’s the main reason I fast and it’s been working
