What aided to that?
Would rolling 48s/72s be more effective in extreme fast weightloss while maintaining hair integrity?
Supplements?
I think this is highly dependent on the individual. I actually had massive hair loss from weight loss from diabetes. My hair seemed to fall easily at that time. However, now that I have changed my diet (keto) and have lost weight just as fast as back then when I was sick, I have not experienced that level of gair loss.
In fact, my hair has come back fuller. But, I have heard stories where hair became thinner with an extreme amount of weight loss.
I haven’t noticed hair loss on any of my extended fasts, so at the very least if I did lose any hair it wasn’t significant. I’ve gone up to 2 weeks, water/electrolytes only. I do have short hair so it may be harder to notice, but the volume didn’t seem thinner or anything.
Hair loss is peculiar. These folks saying they are on day X of their extended fasts. Usually takes 3 months for hair to start shedding after a trigger event like fasting.
That being said, on feed days for myself, I am eating protein dense meals and trying to hit .75g of protein per lean LB of mass with fat dense protein sources. Salmon, chicken thighs etc. Also supplementing with omegas and biotin rich hair/nail supplements. Will it work? Idk.
Last time I was heavy into fasting my hair started shedding like crazy so I panicked and gained a considerable amount of weight back. So this time I’m keeping it at OMAD or rolling 48s while trying to keep my meals protein rich.
