Help getting started (For real)

So I have tried A LOT already to loss my gut. Over the last 2 years I hit the gym and gained 15 pounds of muscle but now my gut seems more out of place than ever. I could look great but I look very average instead.

I tried increased ab workouts with little success, I tried fat burning supplements with unnoticeable results, I tried 22hr intermittant fasting with noticeable water loss but seemed to gain it all back on days off, and now I am starting a new dedicated regiment of just cadio for 1-3 months to try this running thing out again. High school bod was a runners bod (kinda out of running shape atm but will build up to running 3.2+ miles every day)

At the same time, I wonder, could I also be doing a fast if I was allowed to supplement just water and Protein + electrolytes & BCAA/EAA + daily vitamins? Like live on supplements?

I just wanna destroy this gut, I hate it. I rip at it trying to massage it away, like daily >.< Help me please! Thank you for reading and your advice in advance!

First - if you have IF- but not consistently you might want to be consistent for weeks or months to see how well your body responds. 22 IF, for a few days is a great start but you won’t see much by just doing this for a few days. From there you can move on - to longer fasts, 24/36/48/60/72+ hours.

Second - what are your stats? Do you have enough weight on you that fasting is safe?

Third- while for many fasting can help with stubborn areas nearly EVERY fitness/health professional will tell you that targeted fat loss isn’t a real thing and is difficult to do. Anecdotally - yea a lot of do lose fat in problem areas but I’m sure you will hear just as many that do not lose fat in those problem areas and it remains.
