How do I prepare for a 48 hour fast?

I’ve been fasting for a month now and I just usually do 20-24 hour fasts on the regular but my longest was 30 so 48 is gonna be a big accomplishment for me.

The one day I did 30 it was sooo hard. Please drop your tips and advices to get through a longer fast.

Keto style nutrition leading in

Sip lots of water

Stay mentally and physically busy

Realize “hunger won’t actually hurt me”

Build slowly. 30 is your highest so set a goal to get there again. Get used to how that feels. Go further if you can but cut if you can’t. Do this over and over until you can push higher. Your body will adapt the more you expose it

Good luck!

I would start by building up to it. Maybe try to get an OMAD day before it for a day or two. Good nutritious meals (whatever diet goals you have, I like plant based wholefoods and green juices preparing for it).

Have a timer running. Life, zero. They really help.

The first days are the hardest of fasting. 48 hours is nearly as hard as 2 weeks. Be kind to yourself, your trying your best!
