How do you get through work? Etc. even if I skip breakfast I find myself very focused on food and whatnot. I’ve never tried a dry fast but I feel like you need to have a proper schedule for it? And then I guess the mental side is a whole other story. Do you keep yourself distracted?
Edit: and why do you do it? I am very interested for gut health, autophagy, and clearing inflammation.
I fast to heal chronic pain. I used to game and watch TV. But I got kinda burned out playing league and being hard stuck Silver.
And I’ve probably watched every 21st century scifi series known to mankind. I’ve got a few series of sliders left, the outer limits and the 1st wave.
When I do dry fast. I count every hour.
The mental is the toughest part. Going for walks helps me, but the mental aspect of it is really where the discipline comes in. If you’re busy or engaged in something that helps to keep the mind off food. Hopefully you find something that works for you!
Like others say. Be consistent. I would love to pull 5-day dry fast right off the bat but it takes work.
Like an author said, make goals that are challenging but REALISTIC. Consistency is absolutely key. Make a plan that fits your schedule. If you’re looking for quick change no matter what then you’ll have to deal with challenges you’ve never dealt with. There will be pros and cons to everything. Make peace with the cons then move forward. Or in other words, pick the con because there are the cons of not doing something you know is beneficial or the cons of improving yourself, which is normally temporary discomfort. Pick your poison!
