How many days of fasting should i do to lose 25 kg?

Hello. I decided to fast because i am now (26m) 90 kg for 1.70 in height. I have a lot of fat and it shows. It makes me feel uncofortable. I take benzos so that’s probably the reason? Also which supplemenent should i take to do a healthy, non dangerous fast? Happy fasting to you all!

I am by no mean an expert in fasting wich is why like me you are a beginner, don’t jump straight into an extended fast, slowly built up to 16hr, 24h, 48hr… I would say there is less of an opportunity for failure and being discouraged, having some form of physical activity also help supress apetite (at least for me doing intense exercice cut my hunger real fast) it could be as small as a few push-ups, situps or whatever else to get a little sweat going and also give you a little edge in the calorie burned each day, while it might not be much it adds up quite a bit overtime.

Just a little tip, my ex boss (pychiatrist) made an interesting investigation about how melatonine helps to ease the benzos side effects (like metabolic slowing and weight gain), melatonine is a natural hormone produced by our brains, and it regulates the cyrcadian rythm (sleep cycle)… its safe to use and maybe you could try it! (30 mins before you go to sleep)

Ok so I just ran your numbers, losing 25 kgswould put you on the low end of what is healthy at your height especially as a guy.

As for taking benzos- how much do you take? I take around .25 to 1 mg (rarely is it 1 MG that is when I am having a true panic attack and cannot calm myself by breathing, meditation, etc) Alprazolam a day. Usually around .5. I have taken this amount for probably 7-10 years. During the month of September I fasted for 28 days and lost about 14 kg. I don’t think my benzo use has anything to do with weight loss, however if you are abusing it then I guess that would change things.

We get these questions all the time. Take things slow, try a 24 hour fast, then a 48 hour and work up from there. There are people that dive right into a long fast, and are successful but you do need to be prepared.

Ppl lose an average of 0.5 pound a day when full fasting. Idk what that is in kilos. 1 kilo/day?

But also, maybe overshoot your goal by a few pounds. You’ll gain weight when you put food in your body.
