Hi there fasters!
Day 4 of intermitent fasting now. I wake up at 06:00, and eat between 12:00-20:00.
I notice i feel pretty unfocused and irritable this morning, maybe a bit sick. I crave food. Otherwise the effects are good.
I take Vyvanse (adhd medication) and drink 3 cups in the morning with a mix of coffee and cacao. I had no problem with this before fasting. Should i ditch so much caffeine in the morning or do the irritability go away after a while?
Since you’re also on adhd medication, like me, I’d like to suggest some mindful meditation. I’ve found a lot of time my irritability is my body’s way of cluing me into the fact that I have more stuff stewing on the back burner than my subconscious can handle.
There are countless ways to do it but ultimately it involves isolating yourself from distractions for 30 minutes or so to think all those thoughts you never give yourself time for.
