IF After Cancer Treatment to reduce reoccurrence

I recently finished active treatment for hormone positive breast cancer. There is a study that those who did not fast for at least 13 hours overnight had a significantly higher risk of reoccurrence. Therefore, I’m quite invested in doing 13 hour fasts every night to try to reduce getting cancer again. My question is can I take vitamins and medicine with water during the fasting hours? Or do I need to take them when I can eat? Any other suggestions would also be appreciated I really haven’t had any issues so far not eating between 8 pm and 9 am.

Answer

You can take medicine while fasting and vitamins should be fine as long as it isnt ones that contain sugars or anything.Definately talk to your doctor about this and dont just take the internets advice though

Answer

I take my meds and supplements at pm and am and it doesn’t effect my fasting. They might absorb better do you might need less if you take them after fasting. I hope this is very healing for your body. It seems like your body will like not having to focus on digestion from eating all day snd night and can heal from the cancer treatments.
