Longer term fasting

I’m 32 hours into a 48 to 72 hour fast (going to break somewhere in between). Ive never fasted this long before, but I wanted to give my body a planned break after some big holiday meals. I’m also using this time to quit vaping nicotine products for good after weening down this past week. Anyone whose done this, what kind of benefits did you see/any recommendations?

Answer

I’ve regularly done 2-3 day days in the past and they always make me feel great! The first 24 hours are definitely the hardest for me, but once I get to day 2, the hunger just sort of disappears and it’s smooth sailing after that. Make sure you’re drinking lots of fluids and it helps dinner people to supplement electrolytes after the first day as well (magnesium, potassium, sodium).
