Muscle Mass

Hi , I have been on a 18:6 routine for 18months ; doing two meals 12:30pm and 6:00 pm. So now was wondering about extending to one meal only at 6:00pm . Has anybody had experience with one meal per day ? Specifically interested in if it was tough to maintain muscle mass . The rational being that our body will repair and grow during the sleep cycle and I don’t suffer to much from a lack of energy during my fasting period. Can you get swoll on one big meal ?

3rd year doing IF (16:8-OMAD) + working out and going thru cutting & bulking phases. For me OMAD is too hard to meet calorie & protein goals if bulking. Ive settled on OMAD for cutting and at most 20:4 for bulking. I don’t think it impossible just not ideal for me.
