Need some help with my first long fast

I’d like to do a 7-10 day water fast. I’m been ending the fast after 24-48 hours for the past few times and would like to finish it this time.

I’m fit and healthy and eat healthy food daily, never cheat. But even so, going even a day without enjoying my coffee and food is tough. I keep giving up because of either missing the food or boredom as I am unable to meet friends for coffee or meals. So the only way will be to isolate.

Does anyone have any tips to get me through it?

*Also I don’t want to drink coffee or tea and don’t want to take any electrolytes. Just drinking spring water and not too much of it. This is not for weightloss, I am in good shape. This is for a planned yearly routine for longevity and prevention.

I know you said it in your post but I’d strongly advise some sort of electrolyte mixture. The headaches and nausea aren’t worth it in my opinion. I’m on a 10 day fast right now ending on Thursday night and I drink black coffee and a diluted down snake juice and I’ve been feeling as good as one can I’d imagine.

As with the boredom and giving in quickly, all I do is tell myself that I’m not telling myself no forever, just no right this moment and whenever I’m done fasting I can go enjoy whatever I thought was almost worth giving up my fast for. You can do it! Just keep reminding yourself why you’re doing it whenever you want to quit. Good luck!
