New to IF

So I am 16 years old and have a weight of around 200 pounds and I have decided to take intermittent fasting to lose weight. I am planning to skip dinner everyday and have my breakfast and lunch in the 8-hour eating window.

So any advice for a rookie?

Answer

How is your family going to feel about your skipping dinner? You might need to be prepared to deal with their opinions. Many people find it easier to skip breakfast and then eat lunch and dinner. But it all depends on what works for you. Finding that out is an ongoing process, so if one eating pattern doesn’t work for you, try another and don’t get down on yourself during the adjustment period.

Hey guys, keep in mind IF is not recommended for young adults. You’re still developing and can have adverse effects.

If you do it OP, be sure to know all the facts. Good luck!

Answer

Make sure it’s healthy lunch and breakfast and cut down on unhealthy snacks. You don’t need them. Just drink more water. If you feel hungry and you’ve eaten it’s normally more that you’re dehydrated.

Also during fasting keep yourself distracted. Play video games, watch anime etc. You’ll forgot you’re hungry.

I wish you good luck!!
