I am 40F who is 5’2 and weights 169. I am mostly vegan but super lazy about cooking/meal prepping. I have a desk job so I sit most of the day. Any advice or ideas?
If you’re not one to meal prep, try using the myfitnesspal website or cellphone app to put together a food plan for the day ahead, that way you could stay on track and eventually see where you could increase or decrease your calories and macronutrients. Can’t beat a bad diet. It’s a start.
If you’re not a meal prepper kinda person, aim for whole foods and not so much ready made ones as whole foods are less calorie dense and more nutrient dense.
Example would be strawberries over kit Kat bars. Kit Kat bars are more calorie dense and carbohydrate dense than a serving of strawberries and physically you’d be able to eat more going with strawberries. Details, a 1.5 ounce pack of regular size kit Kat has 210 calories, 11 grams of fat, 28 grams of carbs, and 22 grams of sugar. A 144 grams/one cup of fresh strawberries is 47 calories, 0 grams of fat, 11 grams of carbohydrates, and 7 grams of sugar.
Hope this helps, and I’m not knocking on kit Kat bars cause they’re delicious haha.
