Newbie - I can't stop thinking about food during my fasts haha

I’m day 3 into my fasting journey (doing 16/8 to start) and I literally can’t stop thinking about food during my fasts. Does this go away? Hopefully this is just because I recently started.

The struggle is real. I find drinking warm water with half a lemon and 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar helps to keep me satiated and it has additional weight loss benefits. Also, carbonated waters like Bubbly will not break a fast, they are a good option to help stave off hunger. If you do drink carbonated waters just make sure they have *all natural flavors and water, no other ingredients. With this method I am down 50lbs. In 3 months. Good luck!

Same, I would obsess about food. Spend hours on recipe sites doing research, calculating what I can cook next, making and remaking shopping lists. Funnily enough, it all completely stopped when I switched to 23:1 omad. Now I only think about it when my phone reminds me to make a shopping list.

I figured out some good recipes chasing down my food daydreams. I learned how to make fancy ramen with better ingredients as a result.

I also found out that the largest single container of peanut butter you can buy online is a 35 pound bucket.

I am amazed at how quickly I’ve felt a difference. I’mAbout 3 weeks in and clothes are already fitting better and I feel less inflamed.

When I do multi-day fasts I often find myself planning lunches or dinners out for when I am eating. I read the menu inside and out and chose the meal I’ll order later. I find it comforting knowing that food is waiting for me later when I’m ready.
