What food products and produce don’t need to be organic in order to be healthy?
There’s no hard evidence any organic food is healthier per se compared to regular conventional food, but I always buy organic for a piece of mind. I buy my meat pasture raised and organic because I like knowing what the animals were eating. I buy produce organic as well because of the pesticides involved in growing conventional produce. Will it make a difference in my overall health long term? Who knows. But it gives me peace of mind and we’re never going to get randomized controlled trials proving this one way or another.
I go by the clean 15 dirty dozen list some produce is more prone to being covered in problematic pesticides than others because of how they attract or repel pests at certain points. I like to avoid eating those pesticides.
