Pasture raised = organic?

Just wondering cause my store offers pasture raised eggs, as well as organic pasture raised eggs (as well as soy free organic pasture raised eggs lol). Since its pasture raised and they eat worms and grubs, don’t they basically have all the benefits of organic? Asking cause they normal pasture raised are like 4$ a carton while the “better” ones are $6

Now I may be wrong here, but I think pasture raised is just that. Instead of crowding the chickens in barns, they are allowed into a pasture with more open space but that doesn’t mean they aren’t fed with feed that may contain pesticides and such therefore may not be organic.

i honestly thought for a second, that you were mis-spelling or misunderstanding the word ‘pasteurized’. so i clicked, and had i not gone back and read it properly, there was some serious humiliation in my future hahaha. good lord.

IN MY DEFENSE!! i’m in the UK and don’t think i’ve noticed ‘pasture-raised’ on products as a selling point. organic, sure. but not pasture-raised. i don’t pay too much attention though
