Question about calories

I train at least 5/6 times a week and I have a physical job that forces me to stand almost all the time. It’s unthinkable that I can support my weight with 1500 calories a day and even 1700 would still be few. At the moment I’m aiming for 1700/1750 calories from Monday to Friday, just to have less worries over the weekend and in case I lose a little something over time. The point is that I always have the fixation that I should cut calories otherwise I will not achieve any results and I will only risk gaining weight. In your experience, have you found a way to eliminate this thought altogether, perhaps even noticing better results with an increase in calories?

Answer

For me it helped to realize I’m going to be doing some version of this the rest of my life. In the long run, what does it really matter if I have a stall for a month or even gain a little weight? In the long run, I’ll work it all out.

I’d definitely trying upping the calories and see what happens. What’s the worst that happens? You gain a pound?
