Details first- I’m 41, 209lbs, 5’8, male. I’m doing 16:8 and my feeding time begins at 12-8pm. I’m working working out at least 5 times a week with a mix of strength training (following the app FitBod) and riding cycle (stationary bike). The goal is to lose some weight.
So I got my macros for everyday calculated was
Calories - 2472 Protein- 198 Carbs- 231 Fat- 84
Couple of things- I workout in the morning (7am) and i am actually fine to eat at 12pm with no issues. Problem is im not hitting my macros because quite frankly, eating in my time window is enough.
Some days at the most im eating 1800 calories but not hitting all my macros.
So my question is , is it that big a deal to not hit my calories in the feeding window since I am full. I am legit full. Or maybe should I extend my feeding window to eat more. I also don’t want to force myself to eat just to eat ya know.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I think DOMS is a good indicator. If you’re working out and feeling fine then I’d not worry about it. If you’re getting bad DOMS consistently, then that’s a sign you’re not fueling your body enough to sustain your workouts.
