Question! I need help

Guys! Hi. I’ve used 16/8 to lose a significant amount of weight in the past. Right now I have a 9 hour eating window 10am-7pm. I still have some fat to lose but I also need to build muscle and strength. I do a 3 day a week heavy weight program. I also run 3-4 days a week. Due to my sporadic schedule sometimes I have to lift heavy or do interval runs earlier in the morning and on an empty stomach. I personally don’t like to do this. I like to have a little something in me before high interval running or heavy weight lifting. Can I eat something small say at 6am then workout. Then continue my 10-7 eating window once it comes around. Once again, I want to lose fat and build muscle and strength. Help me out :)

Answer

You can do whatever you want. You’re captaining your ship.

The purest of purists will tell you it isn’t fasting because you’re already not doing 16’s and you’re asking if it’s OK to only do 11’s some days. It doesn’t matter.

If you say you’re fasting and the sole goal of it is not to eat at night, and that’s what you call it so you don’t eat cookies while watching TV, then do that. Those calories are saved and since you already know how to do it you can benefit.
