Realistic? or trying too hard?

I’ve been wanting to do an extensive water fast for a while. I’ve done plenty of 48-72 hour days but I wanna go longer maybe like a week. I need to lose as much as weight as possible in 5 weeks for a wedding.

My stats: 23, 5’8, 312lbs

I wanna reach maybe 250-260 in those 5 weeks. I just wanna know if it’s possible or not? Thanks for all the comments, advice!

Trying too hard, i will give you my take based on my experience and research;

During a 5 week period in terms of mostly body fat weight ;

10 pounds = lazy loss15 pounds = mainstream loss20 pounds = admirable loss25 pounds = reasonable yet impressive AF loss30 pounds = impressive AF loss!35 pounds = snake diet loss goddamn!40 pounds = cole robinson level loss 45 pounds = careful with your hormones bro it’s not a race.50 pounds= GTFO ! It’s health your after, fasting is awesome but be smart about it ….

Not only you may end up frustrated for a difficult task, sounds risky.

At 5’8 you may be quite heavy, but patience young man! You’ve already done a lot with them 72’s as it is.

Can’t lose in a day what you’ve been building for years, it is possible… sure and I understand your sense of urgency, but anything above 5 pounds per week is way above average, considering current bw you may stretch it to a 12-14 in 2 weeks.

You may even get away with 12 the first week if it were “ beginner gains” but seeing that you’re an experienced faster , you may want to lower that goal.

You will get there ! Just be gentle with yourself.

Back to back 72’s for a month with “whole foods refeed” should help you with 25 + ! I think you may pull it off in 8-12 weeks , fasting is an awesome tool but aim for sustainability as well.

I wish you the best , try contacting Cole himself for this task.

Cheers and may the snake force be with you.

Answer

You might be pushing it but let’s explore the possibility.You’re an experienced “faster” so I’m wondering if you’re ready for a seven day fast?

The 37 protocol is what I’m doing. It’s tough but from I understand it yields results.

Do you workout everyday twice a day? Are you will to dry fast certain days of the week?

You think you could make it 7 days 4 weeks in a row then drop to 72s for the last week?

These are all things you have to ask yourself and see how far you can go safely.

Fasting isn’t a pipe dream but it is extremely effective. I wish you the best on your journey and be safe.
