On my 3.5/10day and I’m absolutely disgusted by the flavor. There is just not other way is there…
If you want electrolytes that taste good, but don’t have any added sweeteners or other junk, snake juice is the way to go.
Here’s the recipe:1 lt water1/2 tsp salt (sodium chloride)1 tsp baking soda (sodium bicarbonate)1 tsp NuSalt (potassium chloride)
The original recipe calls for 1/2 tsp epsom salt, which is magnesium, but that will give you the runs, so take magnesium in tablet/capsule form with above water mix to avoid that.
The reason this does not taste salty is because of the baking soda, which makes the water mix slightly sweet tasting.
I squeeze half a lemon into my daily electrolyte water jug and keep it refrigerated. Not a purist way of fasting but I don’t adopt a binary view.
Electrolytes are important, a small compromise that helps you keep your electrolytes up is a net positive imo. Last thing you want is to be avoiding your electrolytes
I am going to throw a product out there, just because it works for me. Maybe this doesn’t fit into your specific choices for what you want to do for your fasting because it does have a wee bit of stevia in it…
I use HydrationUp (Electrolyte Drink Mix). For me physically, it keeps me feeling extremely good. Taste is… gritty. Not great not bad. I don’t drink a lot of water, so I never have issues with the fast in some other “other” departments. I just pop in one of these, and as I feel thirsty I sip little bits as I go. Kills the hunger, taste gets better the longer the fast goes on, and never have any head aches or other issues.

Just how it works for me personally though, everyone is different and I suggest you figure out what works best for you and be careful in your endeavors.
I feel this on a spiritual level. I just finished fasting and I wasn’t hungry and felt like I could keep going. But I was starting to feel physically repulsed by the idea of drinking more salt water. I usually feel amazing fasted but I HATE salt water it is DISGUSTING drinking multiple cups a day is REPELLANT.
Not everyone likes Salty water. I drink it as cold as I can get it without freezing.
If you need to go with one fo the commercial electrolytes just check the label and do the math. My experience with commercial products is you have to double or triple the amount they recommend to get the right balance of electrolytes.
Having said that… do what works for your body… Experiment, maybe you need fewer electrolytes … no one can tell you what works. We can make suggestions for you to try.
Have fun Experimenting!
I mix my electrolytes in warm water (was better than cold water for me) and chug them, followed by a good amount of water to dilute it in my stomach. I’ve not had problems with doing it this way. It’s easier on me than trying to sip them throughout day.
Splash of lemon or lime juice helps a lot.
Ultimate solution is tons of ice, lemon, and some mint leaves. Shake it up to pulverize the mint and add your water and electrolytes.
It shouldn’t mess up your progress but should help you be able to drink it down.
In a gallon of water, mix 2tsp iodized table salt, 2tsp nosalt, lemon juice and lime juice to taste. The acidity deafens the salty taste and makes it much more bearable, plus adds some zing to it. Pop that jug in the fridge over night. It’s much better when cold. For magnesium, 2x 500mg tablets a day. Anyone that thinks my formula needs to be adjusted, please let me know!
