Something’s different this time…

It’s been 18 months since my last completed fast of 72 hours. Since then, I have tried and failed a dozen times - usually the same day I started. Shit has been difficult with my personal and professional life, and I feel like I’ve lost my willpower and mental strength to endure the dry fast.

I’m attempting an 84 hour dry fast this time, and unlike all the other times I have failed, something in my wiring seems different.

24 hours~ in and feel calm, not restless. Feeling eerily motivated, and not craving anything yet.

Every time I feel myself slipping up, Im reminded of why I’m doing this without even thinking about it. I don’t know what’s different but will keep you guys updated in the comments.

Started at 224 pounds yesterday. Currently at 219 at the 24 hour mark.

Will keep you guys updated!

Answer

It’s all in the mind man, dry fasting does not require willpower that is an illusion. Willpower is required when doing something you don’t want to do. But if it becomes habitual no longer is willpower required.

Dry fasting your not doing anything you just stop eating and drinking. Hunger doesn’t exist in a dry fast only thirst but if you change your perception every time you get an urge to break from “I’m thirsty” to “My body is detoxing” than it will become much easier.
