I found this interesting: Researchers have found evidence that a natural fruit extract is capable of dissolving calcium oxalate crystals, the most common component of human kidney stones. This finding could lead to the first advance in the treatment of calcium oxalate stones in 30 years.

>The work offers the first evidence that the compound hydroxycitrate (HCA) is an effective inhibitor of calcium oxalate crystal growth that, under certain conditions, is actually able to dissolve these crystals

I’d be curious if DMSO dissolves oxalates too, but couldn’t find anything on that.

If you’re talking about Sallie K. Norton / EONutrition stuff, it’s:

  1. Avoid high-oxalate or oxalate-containing foods.
  2. If you are eating oxalates, combine with Calcium to prevent absorption.
  3. Thiamine

Probably more but this is just from memory.

Answer

Is this for calcium oxalate kidney stones? If that is the case, don’t stop eating oxalates just have them with a dietary calcium source to bind.

Hydration is important too and decreasing salt and protein intake if you’re having a lot.
