What’s been your experience skipping dinner instead of breakfast for 16/8 I.F.?

Any difference? I like to eat around my workouts which are in the morning, so I figure I’ll skip dinner and stop eating after 1pm and have a hearty breakfast the following day before I lift weights

Answer

I’m more of a morning person, and I eat 8am to 4pm at work. Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack.

It’s a lot easier for me because i don’t get home until 6.30pm and I don’t have to think about organising dinner or feeling snacky after. I’ve never been great at skipping breakfast so this schedule works for me

Answer

This is what I have been doing for the last year or so. I eat 900-1100 calorie breakfasts and lunches and am done eating by 2-3pm (latest 4pm). Works great! Don’t feel hungry in the evenings, have zero issues doing my morning workouts while fasted, and my circadian rhythm/sleep schedule is on point. Highly recommend trying it out!

Answer

I like either a 16 or 18 hour fast, and often go longer, merely from not getting hungry.

I haven’t seen anything that suggests either eating early (a standard-ish time for breakfast, earlier dinner), or late (breakfast closer to a “lunch” time, later dinner) as far as weight goes.

I personally prefer not eating after say, 6, but the occasional later dinner hasn’t been an issue.
