24 Hour (or more) Fast and Weightlifting

Just wondering what the over all experiences of people here are with full day fasting and weightlifting.

I want to start doing a regular FRI fast for religious reasons. At the minimum, this would go from dinner THU til sundown on FRI. However, to really honor the spirit of the fast, I feel I should stretch it out until breakfast SAT.

I already intermittent fast during the week, from about 1900 until 1200.

For my workout, I use Tactical Barbell. 3x a week. Most weeks are 3-5x5 (heaviest week is 3-4x1-2) of back squat, bench press, pull-up (working up to weighted pull-up). Then either a few sets of KB swings or (on FRI) 1x5 deadlift. Followed by stretching. And an after-dinner walk (about 30 minutes).
I know that at the end of the day, I need to try it myself and see how it goes. Just wondering what other people’s experiences were so I could get an idea of what to expect or if maybe I need to shift my workout schedule so I don’t lift on FRI.

I work out with weights in the morning about 430. Go to work and do cardio or hiit in the evening around 6pm so at 7 I eat. I’m about a 22:2. I’ve tried fasting even with electrolytes and vitamins and by the 46th hour I’m just spent. I don’t have any more energy and the fast ends. I could go longer in the fast if I didn’t lift

I have started including 46 hour fasts to my regime since last week. I too do powerlifting 3x per week. My first 46 hour fast started Sunday night & ended on Tuesday night. Did a Deadlift, OHP & Front Squat session just before ending my fast. Energy levels were fine with no loss in strength. Just make sure you keep your electrolytes topped up, go easy on the volume a bit. Maybe 3-4x5 instead of 5x5 but can decide this based on how you feel during the session.
