I’m HUNGRY. I used to do a 24 hr fast every Monday for about a year.. but I quit doing that a few years ago. I went overboard with sugar and carbs during the holidays and decided I’d go all in with a 72 hour fast. I don’t even know if I’m hungry.. I just want to eat lol! Does anyone have motivation to help me get to Thursday morning at 9 am??

I just did my grocery shopping for Thursday and it really tempted me to want to break it tonight 😅

I can empathize. Hours 30 to 48 are the absolute worst for me. If I can make it to 48, i can make it to anything.

I get over it by reminding myself how awful I will feel the moment i’m done eating if I break it early. The disappointment outweighs (pun intended) the temporary relief.

Do what you can to distract yourself and remember, it will pass.

Oh dang, I get you, that’s my exact current situation, LOL

One common advice is to play vids or podcasts from Dr. Fung and others, it can help to overcome those particular stronger hunger times. Sometimes what I need are reminders, not distractions, so having them talking about the benefits of fasting in the background helps me out.
