Feel good, about 3 days into a 5 day fast (or longer depending on how I feel) and it’s the longest I’ve ever tasted but I feel good. My weight is going down but I’m wondering how many days in do you really just start melting the pounds off. I am currently 202, started off at 212 and ideally I want to get my weight down to 180 lbs or less. Any advice on prolonged fasting or any info about how fasting works on a day to day basis and what happens in the body? I need to get my waist size down for a military weigh in and I won’t make weight but I’m close to making the body fat percentage taping. My waist is currently about 37 inches but it needs to be about 35 or 36 inches to pass, any idea on how long on a prolonged fast it would take to get to that point? Thank you
You’ve already made the biggest step, after this fast your appetite will have reset, and you’ll no longer have sugar withdrawals, so it’ll be easy to manage your portion sizes and get on a right track moving forwards. Just eat healthy and lean when you start eating again, and listen to your body, stop eating when the hunger goes away, don’t eat till you’re full. Try avoid refined sugars as much as you can. Switch from fizzy drinks to something more healthy (I love water so it was easy for me). Don’t give in to the inner greed either way lol. But yeah, you’ll find your appetite has decreased and you’ll be full very easily, so try be aware of that and stop eating when you don’t need to. This is what happened to me and the weight started dropping off like crazy, i didn’t even need to use much discipline to get there, just portion control and listening to my body when I was no longer hungry.
