For the last two weeks I’ve done alternate day fasting. I’m down 13lbs so far. Yesterday I decided to not restrict calories, I had a sushi for dinner and fied myself some wontons for lunch. I fasted for about 36 hours the day before and today I’m back at it. Thanks for all the motivation yall!
Yeah, ADF is the bomb. Relatively quick results and you get to eat food often! Plus the longer you go, the more natural it feels. There’s also a dedicated sub for it if you’re interested: r/AlternateDayFasting
Woohoo! I’ve also been doing alternate-day fasting alternating between 36 hours of fasting and 24 hours of refeed.
I don’t have a scale and need to get one but I am becoming visibly thinner!
Keep it up!
This sounds great, but I’m afraid I would just binge on the eating days. I know it would be ideal to plan your food for the feeding days. But many times my hunger does care about what the food plan was for that day. Do you get used to not binging on your feeding days?
I switched from OMAD + calorie counting to something similar for two weeks now too! ADF with OMAD + calorie counting. I usually fast for 48 hours, eat one meal, then fast for 48 hours again. There are times when I only fast for 36 hours (mostly when there’s an occasion), eat one meal, then go back to fasting for 36-48 hours again. Ever since I starter doing this I’ve lost 8 pounds, and some of my clothes got loose.
13 pounds is really impressive! Keep it up! :)
