Any good podcasts about nutrition?

Hello,

I’m looking for a good podcast thats based in nutrition science. Been listening to some, but I find they seem to hold a food agenda of sorts and I don’t really trust what they are saying. Are there any based in science that y’all like listening to?

I always recommend The Drive. Peter Attia wants to live as long as he can as healthily as he can and he interviews experts on a variety of topics relating to health and longevity. He regularly mentions how much he hates talking about nutrition, but in the podcasts that he does touch on it, he approaches it through a very neutral lens.

Huberman Labs is an all time favourite of mine, but it’s not solely about nutrition so you’ll have the find the relevant episodes. He’s a research doctor and doesn’t really entertain information that is not backed up in fact and research, so is a very good resource imo.

Found my Fitness by Dr. Rhonda Patrick is also very good info, she’s an absolute nut for health in the best way.

The Doctor’s Kitchen is pretty good. There are something like 180 episodes now. Host is a practising medical doctor in the UK (Dr Rupy Aujla), and each episode is with a different person that is usually a healthcare professional and normally something to do with food. Rupy managed to solve some of his own health issues through changing his diet.

Eatrite Nutrition Podcast is pretty cool. Their slogan is real science, real facts, real food and they seem pretty legit. They break down studies and discuss the research in an easy way to digest. No pun intended 😂

I would check out Dr. Rhonda Patricks podcast archive and cherry pick the discussions you find useful. She always has a ton of references behind her suggestions. She has evidence based recommendations on food that lowers inflammation, nootropic benefits, antioxidant and other health benefits. You may need a notepad when listening to record details you need to Google later.

Some have already mentioned found my fitness with Rhonda Patrick so I also would add the model health show with Shawn Stevenson. That one is a mixture of nutrition and general health and wellness topics.

Podcast on spotify and there’s also a website. All his cited sources are included so you can read through them yourself. He is very transparent about all the money he makes, and it all goes to charities and research.

Food Psych!! I’m a registered dietitian and I love listening to this podcast. It primarily focuses on eating disorders/disorder eating and body image issues. She is an amazing speaker and has loads of evidence to back up her cases. She answers listener questions in the beginning, which are always the best. Highly recommend.
