Any tips to get through the first 3-5 days of fasting?

It seems like I always fail around this period. Not due to hunger (very easy to get through), but mainly to cravings and boredom.

I’m currently aiming for 30 days. Done multiple 3 day fasts but I always fail on the 4th day.

I used to take broth and diet soda on previous fasts but I’ll be eliminating them this time.

Any tips?

Answer

Water, bubbly water, and black coffee are my only inputs. Over time, I’ve found that anything else (e.g., pickle juice) just makes me insanely hungry… and makes it far harder to maintain a fast. Believe it or not… it’s way easier when you avoid anything that even vaguely resembles food (e.g., broth).

Broth is an excellent way to BREAK a fast, however. Diet soda is bad news – your brain thinks you’re giving it sugar. RUN FOREST, RUN!

Kratom helps me get through the worst fatigue of a fast. I will say it is addictive.. but for the most part it’s hard to abuse and very helpful when it comes to fasting.

Look into it. And let me know if you have any questions I’d be happy to help
