Anyone get a sore roof of mouth once u resume drinking?

I just broke a 48 hour dry fast with some cold water and mineral water maybe 5 ounces in total and it instantly made the roof of my mouth feel sore

I didn´t get that, but I sorta got that just not what you meant, lol. I have been doing “snus” and just quit like a month ago (tobacco under the lip), have been doing such strong stuff and for so many years so the jaws were inflamed, gums a bit ruined, and I think also the upper wall in the mouth + nose + throat… Those are some of the reasons I quit.
So yeah, I felt processes in that area but it had more to do with adjusting the bone/small mucles to get in sync with the nose, teeth and gums etc nearby. I could even see the tissue growing day by day.

What Y´ all are writing sounds more like a reflux-thing. (Acidity.) Or possibly a result of candida in the mouth, the healing progress? Just guessing tho. Guessing you would be able to tell if it was just from dryness.

Yup then the skin peels off and out comes the blood 🩸 it’s all part of the process it’s a form of skin shedding 😹😹😹 the first time it happened to me many years ago I thought I was dying that’s why I appreciate threads like this. You are fine all is good!
