Apologies if this sounds like a dumb question. But considering that artificial sweeteners have no calories, what are you thoughts on having them with black coffee, or in a Coke (zero/no sugar), while fasting.
While some sweeteners are marketed as 0 cal, some research suggests even the taste of something sweet (even if there are no sugars) will trigger insulin.
With that being said, if you’re adding a small amount and it helps you stick to your overall game plan, I say whatever to that. May there be a tiny peak of insulin? Maybe. Does the tiny peak of insulin make it mentally and physically more likely for you to stay on course for your end goals? Then, I say enjoy it!
