Beginner fasting

Hi. I am very interested in doing dry fasting, however I would like to know how to start. My mom, who is 49 years old started dry fasting and she did it for 5 days for the first time. She felt great the whole time, no signs of hunger, fatigue, anything. in fact, she felt even better than before. she has a strong spiritual belief, that’s what kept her going. And she motivated me to start participating in dry fasting as well, but here’s the thing - I’m scared of having migraine because i tend to have them often and i know that if i have migraine i will probably give up, but i want to heal my body and cells, and i also want to look at it from the spiritual perspective, i feel like i wanna do something great for my body but is it true that fasting may not be for everyone or should i just keep going if i will feel fatigued and have migraine? And how many days should i do it? 24hours? 2 days? 3 days? please tell me how you started ad if you want to, give me more information so i can educate myself on this topic more. thank you

I initially began with water fasting before I’d ever heard of dry fasting & I would get horrible pounding headaches. When I dry fast, I don’t get headaches at all. My guess is that with dry fasting, your body creates it’s own water from within so your electrolytes don’t get off balance. When I got into dry fasting, I started with 1 day & then did a 3 day. I’m currently on day 5 of my first longer fast & planning to go 9-11 days. I got very hydrated before starting, drinking lots of green juices. I had migraines since I was younger. Since I started fasting, I don’t get them anymore.

You could try to get used to water restriction while eating, by progressively reducing the water you drink.

This not-fasting water restriction helped children with epilepsy in a study. Epilepsy seems to be really similar to migraine in their mechanisms (from what we know) according to the scientific literature.
