I don’t want unflavored buy all the artificial sweeteners in these prob ain’t good. What would be the best sweetner to try to find as the ingredient when looking at classic, whey iso, mix whey protein powders?
One of the main concerns with NNS is changes in the gut micro biome. Evidence suggests that only saccharin and sucralose shift the populations of gut microbiota. Stevia extracts may affect gut microbiota composition but more research is needed. Polyols cause a lot of gas because they are readily fermented by microbes.

Id try and avoid sucralose mainly. Seems it might be causing some blood sugar fudgery when ingested along with macros, mainly carbs afaik, but since protein powder usually contains some carbs too I’d avoid sucralose.
