Answer

Bone broth with salt and a table spoon of butter in it. Sip on it like coffee. Trickle food in very slowly DO NOT overwhelm the body with calories. You’re going to be very insulin sensitive, so I don’t recommend breaking a fast with fruit or any carbs. Take it slow and allow your body to re adjust to food again. I’d probably do a couple of cups of bone broth, spread over several hours, then a couple eggs and some bacon or a couple beef patties. Keep the calories relatively low the first day eating.

Answer

I try to break my fast in the evening with an avocado (which barely raises the insulin level). The next morning as I awake I have some bone broth (bouillon cube). A few hours later I have a few eggs (normally scrambled). It’s only in the early hours of the afternoon that I eat semi-normally, but mostly meat with easy to digest vegetables or a soup.

The longer your fast, the more you have to be mindful of breaking it gently and give your stomach time to adapt to eating again.
