Can I use Purified Water when water fasting?

So I recently tried water fasting for detoxing and weight loss, but I had to stop on the second day because of irregular heart palpitations and chest pain. I’m about 60 lbs overweight but have no medical problems and I am in my early 20’s. I think this may have been because I was drinking a gallon of as recommended Distilled water which I looked up online and is said to cause that. I had never been one to drink Distilled because my parents only buy Purified. Thus being said, is it okay if I switch to Purified Water or Spring Water instead? I have purchased some Electrolyte pills from Amazon to help boost potassium/magnesium. Let me know, thanks!!! :)

Answer

Yes thats fine anything under ~5 cal a day will usually give the results you want. Add a splash of lemon and some salt if youd like. Salt really helps me. Black coffee and black tea are also usually accepted in water fasting.

Answer

I’m on the 3rd water fasting period now. I realize a change in my attitude about food in between fasts, and there does not have to have any set time limits of each fast. Just be sensible with your choices and stay healthy.
