Hi everyone, I’m a long-time lurker and getting ready to embark on my first IF journey. I’ve tried lighter fasting in the past. My biggest problem is getting hungry prior to my window as well as being able to maximize my workouts.
I’m looking to start with a 18-hour fast and eat one sitdown meal with my family in the evening. The rest of the window is up for grabs.
As far as workout goes, I’ll likely need to work out around 730 AM due to work and family schedules.
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
My general advice would be to plan specific, healthy meals to start and end your fast, unless you have a lot more willpower around snacks than I do. ‘Up for grabs’ in practice for me always means snacking - not always unhealthy snacks, but some well-thought-out protein and veggies is generally a better plan.
