So I’ve finished my first week of 5:2, and it went well. But since it’s Christmas and i have a bunch of parties to attend, it’s really tough to abstain from drinking and i feel really bad, but last night i had 2 beers, a whiskey and a little gin at a dinner party. And then i woke up feeling i messed it all up. So just want to know how badly alcohol affects progress?
Some alcohol is okay but alcohol does impede weight loss, in several ways, so don’t overdo it and try to be mindful of what (and how much) you eat when you drink (or hungover, the next day). Alcohol is instant energy so your body will use it before any stored fat or food eaten.
I am but it’s within my eating window & “sandwiched” with water before & after for each glass of cabernet (Napa Valley Silverado Trail wineries) limited to 2.
I’m also experimenting with “mocktails”…one I am enjoying isFuzzy water, dash of bitters on the rocks.
