5:2 diet

So I’ve been on the 5:2 diet for over a year now and lost a stone and half. I only wanted to lose 2stone so I’m happy l, but recently I’ve been unitentionly also doing daily 16/8 aswell as on my off days I’m finding I’m not really hungry’ until much later in the day at which point I’m like we’ll I might aswell just have dinner. Then that’s it. I’m not counting calories on those days though so I’ll eat what I want, like the other day I had a Indian takeaway for dinner but that’s all I ate. I’m just wondering if this is healthy? I don’t deliberately skip meals on my off days I’m just finding myself not that hungry during the day and thinking I might aswell save myself for dinner by the time I’m hungry. On the other hand on my ‘diet days’ I do under 1000 2 days a week, about 200cal breakfast, 400 lunch and a 400 dinner, and I find myself more hungry these dats. Anyone else experience this? - not even 16/8 really as i won’t eat all day until about 6 and then might snack a little later or just not eat again until next day. But I do indulge and have big meals, dine out, have a cheese board or a fondue. All the high calorie things you normally have to avoid on a diet.

I’m curious about this too and hope you get some decent responses. I’ve eaten this way my entire adult life-before I’d ever heard the terminology/process of intermittent fasting. I’ve always gotten a lot of grief about skipping breakfast…most important meal of the day, etc.

From Jason Fung I learned the more frequently you eat, the more hunger hormones are triggered. Also your 1000 cal days may include foods from calories that are more hunger triggering. Heavy fat laden meal like tikki masala, esp w little or no rice, might trigger satiating hormones. According to Jason Fung, it’s about hormone patterns that your food and patterns trigger that makes you hungry and heavy, not any one food. Eating lower carb helps keep appetite under control.
