I am wondering if iodine can be extracted in a seaweed tea, or does the seaweed need to be eaten to get any iodine?
its water soluble so an appreciable amount will go into the tea, I don’t know what percent though. It also depends on what kind of seaweed you use, sea lettuce only has 4000-ish ug per 100 grams while sugar kelp is 250k for the same amount.
