Continue fast vs. protein post weight-lifting?

I’m just starting to lift weights, and I’m confused by what I think are conflicting recommendations. I’ve read abt the benefits of extended fasts (which for me at this point would be up to 3 days) and want to incorporate more 48-72 hour fasts into what I’m doing. At the same time, though, I’ve also seen a lot written abt the need to eat protein after lifting weights in order to enable the muscles to recover and develop. I can’t see how to do both, and would appreciate folks’ thoughts and suggestions about this.

Answer

I chose alternate day fasting because of this, I eat after I lift and fast the off day. I still get 3 or 4 days of no eating a week but I get food in me as soon as I’m in need

E: that being said the lifts aren’t 100% and I can only go for like 30-45 minutes
