Weight lifting while fasting

Hey all, firstly let me say I just reached 70lb lost with omad from September. So I’m very used and adapted to fastIng at this point. The thing now is that I’m always looking for ways to optimize my muscle gain, so I want to read about other’s experience regarding that. I’ve tried lifting couple hours after eating, couple hours before eating and everything in between, but I’m not sure if I could notice a difference. What about you guys? And how does it apply to longer fasting (I do a 40 hours fasting once in a while, but never worked out during those).

I’d say in general working out in a fasted state is a good thing. Peter Attia in particular recommends lifting in particular while fasting to preserve muscle. I wouldn’t recommend going for PRs during a fast, but lighter weight is probably a good thing.
