Answer

I found that cutting out all snacking and sticking only to my meals during my eating window helped. My eating window is 6 hours so I certainly don’t eat throughout those 6 hours. I break my fast right at the beginning of my eating window with something filling, then I don’t eat again until my last meal at the very end of my eating window. After about a week, my body got used to that eating schedule and I stopped having cravings in the middle. Also, building my meals around proteins, vegetables and healthy fat and keeping my carbs fairly low has also helped curb the munchies. Refined carbs like bread, pasta, crunchy snacks, and sugary sweets all kick up my cravings so I avoid them the most, the carbs I do eat are complex carbs from beans, potatoes, oatmeal, and things like that.

I’m the same way and I ended up having the most success with OMAD or a 1 hr window eating plenty of good fats and protein. I would at times eat a half cup of cashews or something just for good measure. Me, personally, I found a relief and a freedom with OMAD.

Planning exactly what I’ll eat (even down to the smallest snack) during my feeding window has been a huge help. It allows me to set boundaries and stay on track. Preparing/storing the meals/ snacks is a plus when I have the actual time.
