Type of Fasting: foodContext: Day 1/23Length: 16:8 (8 hours eating, 16 hours fasting)Why?: i recently lost 50lbs in the past six months by eliminating sugar and doing IF. I got way off track and started eating a ton after midnight and didn’t pay attention to the hours I ate anymore. Very much mindlessly ate. I have graduation from a software engineering bootcamp on Jan 6th and I’m meeting my virtual friends then. I’d like to lose whatever I can between now and then.Notes: it’s rough. My hours are between 12p-8p. I used to work Night Shift so my body wants to eat after midnight but I no longer work Night Shift so I want my body to catch up to speed and eat at normal daytime hours. I’m not usually hungry until 12p but I tend to eat 1x a day and then graze at night. I hope to be more mindful moving forward and get back to it.
Fast from food. Trying to do 7 days a week but It’s feeling it out and seeing how it goes. I’m hoping to accomplish weight loss and mental clarity.
It’s going okay, I’m still struggling with an increase in mental clarity but it’s much better than the excessive unhealthy eating I used to do at night before I picked up IF again.
A victory this morning. OMAD yesterday, had lunch at 12 (work party, salad, pasta, chicken) then coffee and a mini scone then nothing. Woke up this morning, a little sleepy but No Migraine, no headache from the 20 hour fast, just felt so good.
Today, coffee at 9, lunch around noon, supper at 6 or 7, whenever it’s done. No snacking but not fasting.
